Queering the Way: Coaching for Queer and Trans Leaders

Your wisdom, leadership, and guidance are exactly what someone needs right now. Don't hold back.
Queering the Way: Coaching for Queer and Trans Leaders

This work begins where, I believe, all leadership should start — with how you feel, what you know, and whether those two aspects are aligned.

If they are not — if you are leading from exhaustion, reaction, uncertainty, or trying to be everything to everyone for every cause — that misalignment has a significant cost to you and anyone you guide and support.

More significantly, it costs you your well-being, your ability to be understood, and your capacity to sustain what matters most over time.

What I don’t offer as a coach is a template or a method that will solve all of your problems simply because “it has worked for me.”

I believe that leadership isn’t about position: it’s about permission.

For queer and trans leaders, we’ve had to master giving ourselves permission our entire lives. Seeking to fit in, adapting to social standards, or not speaking up all contribute to what holds us back.

Instead, what I do offer is a thinking partnership grounded in my philosophy of Queering the Way — in the conviction that your experience of living outside the heteronormative status quo has produced a specific and valuable form of ethical intelligence, and that leadership cultivated from that intelligence is not only necessary, but worthy of support and development.

How I work

I work with queer and trans leaders, change-makers, and social entrepreneurs one-to-one.

Every engagement begins with a conversation — not a sales call, but a genuine exchange to explore whether working together makes sense for both of us. I take that mutuality seriously. I work with people I believe I can genuinely serve, and I want you to work with someone you genuinely trust.

If that conversation confirms we are a good fit, I will invite you into one of two engagements depending on where you are and what you need.

Two ways we can work together

The Discernment Session

Discernment is among the most demanding cognitive work a leader does — separating what is true from what is merely urgent, what is yours from what has been practiced without question or self-reflection.

This is a single, focused 90-minute coaching session designed for a specific challenge you are ready to move through. It is not a sales conversation or an introduction to a longer program — it is immediate, substantive coaching. You arrive with a current problem, challenge, or a decision that needs to be made. You leave with clarity, a clearer sense of your conviction, and a direction that is genuinely yours.

This is the right starting point if you want to experience how I work before committing to something longer, or if you have one specific thing that needs your full attention right now.

Queering the Way Leadership Project

A six-month private coaching engagement working through all six principles as a living, integrated practice. This is not a course with a fixed curriculum — it is a sustained thinking partnership that combines structured self-paced content, asynchronous coaching exchanges, and live coaching sessions used flexibly as needed.

Each month is dedicated to one principle — FEEL, KNOW, THINK, VOICE, DREAM, LEAD — with practices, reflections, and coaching responses that move at the pace of your actual life and leadership. The work is yours to do; I am here to challenge, deepen, and hold the thread.

Included: access to the program content for each principle, asynchronous coaching responses throughout, and a bank of session credits for live conversations (30 or 60 minutes) used when the work calls for it.

This is for the leader who is ready to do the full work, not because something is broken, but because you are serious about leading from the full truth of who you are.

If you're wondering about investment before reaching out — sessions begin at $350 CAD. The six-month Leadership Project is a more significant commitment. I'm happy to discuss what makes sense for where you are.

Let's begin with a conversation

If what you have read here or in my book resonates, I would welcome a conversation.

Send me a note below. Share whatever feels relevant about where you are right now: what you are navigating, what is not working, what you are moving toward. There is no required format and no wrong amount of detail. I read every message personally and respond the same way.

If it seems like a good fit, I will suggest a time for us to talk.
